Congratulations to Sadie Loftus (2nd Year) who has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2022 BD STEM Stars Science competition. Sadie designed and manufactured a hollow 3D printed glove to allow comfortable hand insertion for people suffering from Raynaud’s syndrome. It has been designed with an electrode, a heating pad and a stockinette tube liner (tubular bandage) to aid people suffering from reduced blood flow to their limbs. To date there is no cure for Raynaud’s syndrome so Sadie’s invention will help those suffering from this condition.
The finals are being held in BD Research Centre Castletroy on Thursday 12th of May – Best of luck Sadie we are all behind you!!!
