5th Year Enterprise Trip to Shannon Foynes Port Company

Many thanks to SFPC for showing 5th Year LCVP students around the port in Foynes on Monday.

Students got to learn about the workings of the port and its importance to the Limerick area. We got to see a ship unloading, the oil terminals and heard of their plans for the future.

We got the opportunity to explore the SEA-PT anti pollution warehouse to discuss their work on the Shannon Estuary as seen in the photos.

Many thanks to Mike, Evelyn, Nick and Ian for a very informative afternoon and to Foynes Yacht Club for providing space for discussion and lunch.

We will have lots of information to complete our Summary Reports.
