The boys were back in action this week against Davis College, Mallow, in the qualifying round for the National Quarter Finals. Having home advantage was a great head start to this very tricky fixture. The boys know the court in Fernbank, Limerick like the back of their hand at this stage. With our squad back to full strength we knew this was a great opportunity to progress one step further than last year. It was a very cagey and low scoring game. With both teams having their own purple patch it was very nip and tuck. However, when we took the lead at the beginning we refused to give it up. Although our opposition made a solid push in the end, the final whistle saw us run out 4 point winners on a scoreline of 37 – 33. This now puts us in a National quarter final to be played on February 2nd in Inchicore, Dublin. Another fantastic achievement for this group of boys.
