Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations got off to an early start this year with a cultural day last Wednesday 13th, organised by the EAL, Home Economics and Music departments.
Students prepared a feast of all things Irish so that our International students got to taste and enjoy a true sense of all things Irish. Students prepared an excellent selection of Irish cuisine. Music and dance were on tap as students and teachers played an array of Irish music for the gathering. Fr John addressed the group, reminding students of St Patrick’s journey and mission. It was a culmination of Irishness that gave students a real sense of what celebrating Irish heritage is all about. What better way than music, song, food and dance to get St Patrick’s Day started? Thank you to all involved for making it a very special day for our International students who are among the 15 nationalities in our school, and reminding us of the power of being together for celebrations!
Wishing all our community a very happy Saint Patrick’s Day. Lá Féile Padraig
