A Big Thank You!

On behalf of the Salesians (Trustees), I wish to express my sincere thanks to the whole school community for such a marvellous response to the unprecedented challenges you faced during this first term. It has been a school-term like no other, presenting new problems to school management, staff, caretakers, and students. Problems which were unique and undreamt of this time last year. New words and phrases became commonplace in the lexicon of school life, for example, pods, social distancing, hand-sanitizing, and face-masks, and, of course, Covid-19. Every new challenge was met with adaptability, ingenuity, and creative thinking. This all demanded a high degree of cooperation and goodwill from everybody in the school community and your response was amazing. Thank you so much for such self-sacrifice and generosity of spirit which made school life possible to thrive in a safe environment. As a result classroom teaching and learning could flourish and there was even a palpable buzz of joy around the place.

I hope, despite the necessary restrictions, that you all have a happy and joyful Christmas and that you all get a well-earned rest. I wish you all every blessing, health, and happiness now and throughout the New Year.
