Basketball time again! Today kicked off our Minor (1st years) and Junior (2nd years) Basketball competitions. Our opponents today travelled from Dingle to battle it out in Newcastle West.
Our Minor team made their school debut with an exciting affair that went right down to the wire. The boys fought right to final second where they were unlucky to see their final shot bounce the wrong way outside the ring and losing by 2 points in the end.
Our second years took to the court next with some familiar faces from our U16 team. Their experience shone through as the boys took a huge early lead of 16 – 6 at half time. The boys continued their fantastic display to finish the game on a final scoreline of 27 – 14. Next up is a Limerick derby vs LETSS on January 31st. Well done to everyone involved and especially to all the new members of our teams that made their debuts today.
