Belonging – Mental Health Event

We are delighted to have Amanda Clifford joining us, who is a psychotherapist, artist, and wellbeing event organizer & host. Amanda also runs a charity that supports people with mental health called A.B.C. She is well-known in Limerick City & County for her amazing work in supporting people in the area of mental health. Amanda will be giving a beautiful talk on “A Sense of Belonging,” providing wonderful insights, tips, and techniques on how to maintain a healthy mind.

We also have Louise Lynch, who is a mindfulness & wellbeing coach. Louise works with adults and adolescents, supporting them in maintaining balance, wellbeing, and self-care. She is passionate about supporting parents and their children in the area of mindfulness & reducing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Louise will be conducting mindfulness exercises and creative activities with attendees, offering lifelong tools to bring into their daily lives.

Additionally, we will have the Honorary Consul of France, Loic Guyon, who is doing amazing work on the Sarsfield Homecoming Project here in Limerick. Loic will be giving a wonderful and insightful presentation on the Sarsfield Homecoming Project, providing details about the Limerick man Sarsfield, his story, and the efforts being made to bring him home to Limerick where he belongs.

Therese Hogan, R.E. & S.P.H.E. teacher, and Pastoral Care team coordinator, Salesian Secondary College will speak of her experiences with young people and practising positive mental health practices.

Furthermore, Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention will be in attendance to chat with people on-site and provide insight into the incredible work they do in Limerick. They will also offer options for support services if you have been affected by suicide.

Alex was incredibly passionate about this project and organized a fundraiser for it this year, raising one thousand euros. The project is now in her honor.
