Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have been asked to circulate the following informatiom regarding the ongoing boil water notice.
The Shannon Estuary Water Action Group (SEWAG), which has representatives from the affected communities, has arranged for a public meeting to take place regarding the current boil water notice, which has been in place in our communities since 17 May 2023. From information we have gathered it looks unlikely that the issue will be resolved by December, as initially indicated.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, 30th November, in Askeaton community hall at 19.30.
Invitations are been issued to local councillors, TDs, Uisce Eireann, the EPA and the HSE in the hope that at this meeting, they can brief the public on the current situation, to answer questions and to address concerns that we have.
We are asking as many people as possible from our communities to attend this meeting to hopefully get some long-awaited information, raise awareness, and push for action.
