MIndful January – All about Appreciation

We are often so engrossed in our thoughts that we don’t pause to appreciate our surroundings.
This means interesting details are overlooked.
Encourage yourself to notice things you usually ignore.
You may usually notice how a meal tastes but fail to appreciate how enticing it looks.
Your food is a good place to start, because it engages all of your senses.
You could dedicate one day a week to focusing on just one sense while eating.
For example Monday, you could listen for the sound of your food as it cooks.
Really try to look and take notice of the things we take for granted.
