State Exams 2026 – Fee Information

Dear Parent/Guardian of Junior and Leaving Certificate Students,

Your child will receive a letter this week with details on how to pay exam fees or apply for an exemption for the Junior Cycle / Leaving Certificate 2026.

What to do:

• Use your child’s Exam Number and password (in the letter)
• Complete payment or exemption online.
• Apply/pay here: https://fees.examinations.ie/

Important:

• Schools do not collect fees
• Deadline: 30 April 2026

Fees:

• Leaving Cert: €116
• Junior Cycle: €109

Exemptions:

• Full medical card holders (or covered dependents)
• GP Visit Cards are not eligible

Reminder:
Failure to pay or apply for exemption may result in the withholding of exam results.
