TUTOR NEWS – Monday, 21st December 2020 (Week 16)

Note:
Tutor News will be emailed to all students, parents and teachers. Teachers will read out Tutor News at 11.55am on a Monday (Tuesday for a bank holiday weekend) to their 1st Year classes only. Class Tutors will sign journals during their class time.

GENERAL – Please read out to ALL students

 We would like to take the opportunity to wish all our parents, students and staff a Happy Christmas and Peaceful and Healthy New Year. Students will finish at 12.30 tomorrow Tuesday, 22nd December for the Christmas Holidays, buses will run at this time. School reopens on Wednesday, 6th January 2021.

 REMINDER – Important Information – Application forms for students who wish to apply for a place in 1st Year 2021/2022 are available for collection at the school office. Deadline for submission of applications is 12.30pm on Monday, 11th January 2021. You can view our Virtual Open Night on the School App, Facebook or the school website.

 Christmas Newsletter will be available later in the week on the school app.

 Student Council News – This school year, every class group in the school has a class representative on the Student Council. Congratulations to the elected reps and the chairing committee; Tara Fitzgerald (Chairperson), Paige Tillotson (Secretary), Eoghan Kelly (Treasurer) and Brandon Kehoe (P.R)

 Coláiste Sheosaimh is accepting students for it’s Irish summer college courses in Conamara this summer. Brochures are available from Ms. Ní Riain or visit the website at www.colaistesheosaimh.com for more information. All money paid will be refunded in the event of further restrictions affecting the summer college.

6th Year

Caith Amach é, an Irish comedy show based on the Sraith Pictiúr will be coming to the school on 21st January. It costs €10 to attend. The show will revise the Sraith Pictiúr for 2021 and also give helpful advice on preparation for the Leaving Certificate Irish Oral exam which is worth 40%. This event is open to students studying Gaeilge only.

€10 must be paid on the school app only before Friday 15th January in order to attend.
