Our U-19 footballers travelled to Mountcollins last Friday evening to take on Scoil Phobail Bhéara (The defending Munster Champions) in the Munster U-19 D Football Final. After a hot start by Beara, our boys rallied back with a cracking goal from our captain Jack McCarthy. Ciarán Barry drew us level going in at half time with a peach of a 45 to make it 2-4 to 1-7.
Beara got off to a flyer in the second half and led by 5 points at one stage but once again our boys fought back and led by 2 points with 7mins of ordinary time remaining. However, Beara struck for a goal and went on to win by 5 points on a 3-13 to 3-8 scoreline. Everyone of our lads did themselves, their family, their school and their coaches (Mr A O Connor, Mr Harte & Mr M O Connor) proud.

Next up is a Munster Hurling Final v Blarney on March 2nd while the footballers look forward to a county semi-final v Askeaton on March 4th.
